Dinner
Series
We invite members of the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto to take part in the Dinner Series. First U has had a Dinner Series program for many years. It's a way to enjoy good food and good company, while helping to support the congregation.
It doesn't have to be dinner!
Hosts can choose lunch, brunch, cocktails, a barbecue, tea, or any other culinary event.
Want to host? Click here for a sign-up form. Or send an e-mail to dinnerseries@firstunitariantoronto.org, giving your name, the type of event (dinner, lunch, tea, etc.), theme if any, the date and time, the nearest major intersection, the number of guests, whether there are pets in the house, and the cost for each guest.
Want to be a guest? Scroll down to see the events now open to guests! Bon appétit!
How the Dinner Series works
See an event below that you'd like to attend? Guests send an e-mail to the host, who replies to confirm, and gives the host's address and telephone number. Guests then send a cheque for the specified fee to c/o St. Matthew’s United, 729 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto M6C 1B2. The words "Dinner Series" should be in the memo line on the cheque (cheques made out to First Unitarian Congregation. Cheques can also be placed in an envelope, then in the donations basket on the welcome table at Sunday services at Oakwood Collegiate Institute). Alternatively, the fee can be sent via e-transfer to bookkeeper@firstunitariantoronto.org, with "Dinner Series" in the notes or message field. The result is community and good food, and First Unitarian benefits!
